This is the cover to Becky Cloonan’s new mini-comic and I FUCKING LOVE IT! I was planning to buy one of these from Becky at the Boston Con in April, but as soon as she announced that it will be officially debuting at a show in May I went ahead and pre-ordered a copy from her website with a sketch. By the way, you should totally order one yourself!

Becky Cloonan’s “1989”
Pal ‘o mine Joel Lolar turned me on to this mini-comic by Becky Cloonan last night called “1989”. It’s from an upcoming anthology called “Heartbreak: Just Friends”. That image up there is the first page of the 15 page story. You should read it, and then you should click here to go read the other 14 pages because it is an awesome story written and drawn by an awesome writer/artist. I would recommend 1989 to fans of Craig Thompson’s Blankets and things that are so good you don’t want them to end.
