20.  The Future Man

21.  The Girl Who Leapt Through TIme

Future Daddy Cable loves Future Baby Hope, you guys.  But you can’t tell, ‘cause they’re both super-pissed about that Future Winter Snow at the moment.

A buddy of mine (who is also named Jake) asked me to draw a Cable, as did quite a few of you, dear followers.  So I did.  I could draw/watch/read this kind of Lone Wolf and Cub crap ALL DAY LONG.  It speaks to my paternal instincts.  Leaves me wanting to save the baby of my besieged feudal lord/fallen nemesis/doomed comrade/dying romantic rival and then PROTECT THE HELL OUT OF IT.  IN THE FUTURE.

Anyway.  I’m trying to finish ALL of my Marvel drawings this week so STAY TUNED.  It’s happening.

Cable created by Louise Simonson, Rob Liefeld and the 90’s.  Which were amazing.

Drawing by Jake Wyatt.

I mainly just like Cable because he looks cool, but this layout/design/color scheme is just the tits.

You guys know that Mike Mignola should totally draw a Rocketeer comic, right?

22.  The Gumbo-eatin’ Gambler

The talented and lovable woman-of-comics Kt Shy asked for a Gambit waaaay back at the beginning of the month, and I’ve been thinking about how to draw him ever since.

I wanted to do an updated Gambit look, something more modern and sensible, but Gambit is so STEEPED in the Lee/Claremont 90’s-ness that to try to remove it is to kill the patient.  So let’s accept, enjoy, and celebrate this ridiculousness.

‘Cause dey don’t make ‘em like Gambit anymore, chére.

Drawing by Jake Wyatt

Gambit was always my favorite X-Man when I was a kid. He probably isn’t my absolute favorite anymore, but I do still love his powers.

11.  The Beauty Untouchable

This was so much fun to draw.  Sometimes it’s like pulling teeth, but Rogue was an act of joy.

20 days left in the Mighty Month of Marvel, 20 drawings yet to be done.  Let’s do the damn thing.  VOTE.

Rogue has had some lame costumes in her day, but this is definitely NOT one of them.
